Guelph Off-Road Bicycling Association is hosting a basic skills clinic for kids 12 and under, followed by a short ride along the Royal Recreation trail to practice those skills! Helmets mandatory.
The Guelph Off-Road Bicycling Association (GORBA) creates and maintains the Guelph Lake mountain bike trail system. This ride is an introductory course for kids 12 and under to start learning mountain bike basics, bike handling, and safety. The skills clinic takes place in Riverside Park at the North Parking lot (located on the South side of Woodlawn Road, between Victoria Road and Woolwich Street). This will be followed by a guided group ride along the Royal Recreation trail as far as Victoria Road (about 3kms), which parents are welcome to join in on! Helmets and a bike in good working order are mandatory and parents/guardians will be required to sign a waiver for participants. There is a second kids ride on Wednesday, June 27th at the same time and location.
