Ride For A Dream is a national campaign to end violence against women by engaging young men in a healthy dialogue. Our bike-a-thon to Montreal launches June 1st
With a collaborative effort between men and women, we act to deconstruct unhealthy aspects of masculinity through events, media, and online presence.
In 2012, two members of the team rode bicycles from Toronto to Vancouver to raise awareness along the way, carrying their message with them as they cycled the more than 4,700 kilometers to their goal.
In 2013, the addition of two more cyclists, a support vehicle, and a documentary crew followed the team as they rode the remaining 3,000 kilometers from Toronto to St.John's, Newfoundland, engaging other schools and media along the way.
Now, Ride For A Dream has roots. It has made waves, and has a community of Canadians to carry it forward. This year, there will be a ride from Toronto to Montreal, Canada, on June 1st, 2014 launching from Yonge-Dundas Square.
