Please join us on September 26th for a leisurely 90-minute cycle around our neighbourhoods and experience Midtown as a 15-minute city. Organized by Cycle Don Valley Midtown and Cycle Toronto Midtown, Cycle Toronto's local ward advocacy groups, the ride will show how protected bike lanes on Yonge Street would help make Midtown a 15-minute city for all. We’ll also focus on changes in where people live and observe how the area’s centre of gravity is shifting.
COVID-19 restrictions have many working and studying from home, providing opportunities for taking a break and discovering all the amenities close by. Hence the 15-minute city concept – being able to shop, get to appointments and services, exercise, enjoy green space, and even indulge in a physically distanced meal – all within a 15-minute walk or bicycle ride from home. If you are no longer commuting – and this includes retirees – you can take care of your day-to-day needs, right here in Midtown!
When: Saturday, September 26 at 9:30 am for coffee. Ride departs at 10 am.
Where: St. Clement’s Church parking lot, 70 St. Clement’s Avenue
