Discover Hidden Gems in your community.
Looking for somewhere fresh to ride? We are excited to launch a brand new Hidden Gems series as part of Bike Month across the GTHA and Guelph. These weekly features will give you insider tips on some of the best trails, paths, and on-street bike facilities. Whether you cycle to work, ride the trails on the weekend, or bike to get around town, we hope you’ll find a hidden gem. Then, share it with a friend, colleague, or family member who wants to give biking a try this spring.
Did you know bustling downtown Mississauga features peaceful trails and a brand new bridge?
Ride along quiet trails and discover a new bridge near Mississauga’s Parkside Village.
Discover new trails and a colourful bridge between Wallenberg Crescent and Parkside Village just north of Burnhamthorpe Road.
The trail runs north-south along Wallenberg Crescent and through Zonta Meadows Park connecting the multi-use trails on Rathburn Road and Burnhamthorpe Road.
You'll find the entrance by Zonta Meadows Park, a peaceful spot to rest en route.
A colourful new bridge (which will be complete in early 2020) brings the trail over a creek.
When the construction on the east end is complete in early 2020 and the roadway open, this bridge will be part of a cycling route that leads directly to City Hall, Celebration Square, and the city centre.
